The Reformed Church in the fortress is the most important medieval monument in Târgu Mureș and the only one preserved since the beginning of the 15th century. Ascension of the Lord Cathedral Targu Mures
The Orthodox Cathedral The Ascension of the Lord is the largest religious edifice in Târgu Mureș. The cathedral was built in the center of the city (now the Rose Square) between 1925 - 1934. The church was built according to the plans of the architect Victor Vlad, in the form of a Greek cross, with equal arms.
